The Challenge
Quiet Platforms was a startup with a brand that worked but didn’t look the part yet. There was no redesign budget and no big launch, just a steady stream of needs across sales, marketing, and web. Then in 2025, new parent company American Eagle Outfitters (AEO) rebranded the business, and the new system had to land everywhere, fast.
The Approach
Phase 1: Evolve it piece by piece (2023–2025)
Designed everything marketing published: website, email, documents, presentations, infographics, social, trade show graphics, swag
Treated every request as a chance to raise the bar on type, layout, and graphics
By 2025 the brand looked noticeably more mature, without ever stopping for a redesign
Phase 2: Roll out the new system (2025–2026)
AEO’s creative team delivered the brand guide; I turned it into working channels
Designed and built the complete new website
Extended the system where the guide stopped: responsive layouts, components, edge cases
Other channels: presentations, documents, social
The Result
Three years of ongoing creative support across campaigns, channels, and formats
Full website relaunch on the new brand
Kept on through a corporate-led rebrand to deliver it
One creative partner, from independent startup to American Eagle subsidiary
New Brand, Same Steady Hand
In 2025, American Eagle’s creative team delivered a new brand system. I carried it across every channel, starting with a complete website redesign and build. About six months after launch, American Eagle closed Quiet Platforms.
“Shannon spent two years making our brand better one piece at a time. When our parent company, American Eagle, rebranded Quiet Platforms, there was no question who would bring it to life. He took the new system across every channel, including a complete website, without missing a beat.”
Sara Zittergruen, Head of Marketing, Quiet Platforms
